About Me

I am a London-based photographer, specialising in events and headshots. I have worked with many corporate and individual clients, photographing everything from large-scale events, award shows and parties to headshots and architecture.

I studied Model Making and Design with photography at college and went on to work at a Special Effects company - Asylum Models and Effects, sculpting and making models for TV adverts and films. Working to the camera on set, my keen eye for colour, detail and framing proved invaluable and it was a natural progression that I moved into photography.

I always feel incredibly lucky to be able to do what I do for a living and that people let me in to capture their amazing events, or take their headshot. I remember reading the quote below many years ago - it has always stayed with me and helped me understand how I wanted to work…

‘A portrait is not made in the camera but either side of it.' - Edward Steichen.

I have always tried to connect with the people I am photographing. To help them relax, to not let the camera be a barrier and also at times for me to be able to disappear - especially at events, so I can wander amongst the guests and get close to the action. Although I am physically there (I haven’t mastered the art of vanishing…yet!), clients completely understand how I work and they can trust me to take photos that capture the real energy of their events. I’m driven by the challenge of capturing someone's personality, or a unique moment in time. I work behind the scenes with many clients, working in a non-intrusive way that enables me to provide candid photography and capture the moments that tell a story.
